About Dr. MacAlpine

Dr. Robert T. MacAlpine received his B.A. degree from Southern Adventist University, Collegedale, Tennessee. He received both his D.D.S. degree and periodontal specialty training from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, California. He also holds a Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) degree from Loma Linda University School of Public Health. He is licensed to practice dentistry in both North Carolina and California.

Dr. MacAlpine is a member of the American Dental Association, Buncombe County Dental Society, North Carolina Society of Periodontists, Southern Academy of Periodontology and American Academy of Periodontology. He actively participates in continuing education programs to remain abreast of the latest scientific information and techniques in periodontal diagnosis and therapy.

Dr. MacAlpine grew up in Asheville, and enjoyed playing Little League baseball when he was young. His current interests include golf, watercoloring, reading, and playing acoustic guitar and electric bass in his church's band. He became a proud grandfather in December, 2007.
